Transit411 is built by transit professionals, for transit professionals.

It exists to answer the everyday questions that come up across transit funding, procurement, and program delivery — the kind that usually mean digging through PDFs, agency websites, and databases — and to put the power of AI to work gathering and analyzing that information.

Why we built it

People who work in and around public transit spend an enormous amount of time chasing down the same facts: who's in the FTA funding pipeline, what an agency spends per rider, which procurements are open, who just moved into a new role. The information is public, but it's scattered and slow to assemble. Transit411 pulls it together and makes it answerable in plain English.

What we do

• Ask NTD — ask the National Transit Database in plain English and get a sourced answer, with the query shown so you can trust it.
• CIG Pipeline & Ask CIG — the FTA Capital Investment Grants pipeline, tracked month over month, searchable in plain English.

We built the platform to harness AI for the parts machines do well — collecting, structuring, and querying large amounts of public data — while keeping human judgment on what actually matters.
